Recently, I heard news about ÜberTwitter, a Twitter client for BlackBerry devices, that has been banned. The reasons were the application violated policies such as containing "Twitter" in its name, allowing to post unlimited length of private message, and modifying user's message for money making. Since it was a popular application, its users absolutely did not satisfy. People blamed Twitter to recover the application again. From my opinion, it was not right to support the wrong party. Besides, its developers have created a new legal application called ÜberSocial instead. They should have just moved to the new one. In addition, many Twitter clients have been prohibited in the same time. What is about me? I have never used any Über-clients because I have no BlackBerry. (You might know that I only have Nokia E63 from my blog entry.) I directly post messages to Twitter via common or mobile version of the web site; that is just all I need. |
