Just a week ago, I brought my cross-stitch hobby back which I had been too lazy to finish for many years. (I completely forgot that I had it.) I went it on for a while. And then I had an idea that I should try to build a cross-stitch pattern maker application based on RGB-DMC conversion table that I had had. I spent two days around the clock to complete the program (though the hobby is still postponed). The application works so-so; it can convert a given image such as a photo or an artwork into stitching pattern with DMC code list of threads, but it cannot cut off or merge few-used colors to another. I have a plan to release the application for free using either on this web site or as a desktop program. Sorry for late update.
