I am implementing a PHP application to post new feed on Twitter and Facebook. I named the application as Thaiware Updater.
It collects what is updated such as software, news, review article and tip from Thaiware.com and then posts to Thaiware's timeline on Twitter (@thaiware) and Thaiware Fan Page on Facebook at the same time. The app is tended to be a minimal routine so it may not have clearly seen interface. The app has its own page there (along with my own app). You are redirected here after you click "go to the application" because the app is really placed on another location, so you indeed cannot reach it.
The application cannot solely run by itself; it must have a user to trigger and the user must be an administrator of that fan page as Facebook's rule. Only Thaiware's administrators including me can use this app; if you accidentally allow the app and you do not have rights to manage Thaiware Fan Page, it will be useless, just remove it from your list. Previously, the updater was implemented in Java and was set to run twice a day. It was like my hobby and was firstly intended to be mainly use on Twitter. Later, I applied Selective Tweets to bring tweets tagged with #fb onto Facebook. This would be convenient because I did not have to develop another application for Facebook. Recently, I had a contact from Thaiware as they began to improve their website. They found that Selective Tweets entries were overgrown, so they offered me to update. I found that the development for Facebook with Java was much harder than the old one. I then decided to move to another easier programming language, that is now PHP. |
