I had a bad news that my father was suddenly died in the last week of September.
I was sad about it. I must go to Samut Songkhram where he was laid. I was surprised that I had another sister (after me and one little brother); I met her in the father's cremation. In fact, my dad had three families by time and each wife had a son or daughter. I and my brother were also ordained becoming Buddhist novices (samanera) along with the cremation, that is, we had to shave away our hairs and eyebrows. In Buddhism, we believe that the ordination of their sons can dedicate good deeds for the dead.
The next step is to divide his inheritance that I have to take responsibilities because I am the big brother. Before I could do anything, I must have been appointed as administrator by court. I have already filed a request being the administrator then I will be inquired soon. My father also had a life insurance which we could claim directly, but we still must gather some evidences they need. This task made me and my siblings travel back and forth across provinces. It is tiring but not quite wasteful. |
